The IUP Men’s Hockey program has announced the addition of two new players ahead of the upcoming season, bringing in experience and depth at both the forward and goaltender positions. Michael Holland and Braxton Singleton join the Crimson Hawks after competing at the NCAA Division III level and developing through strong junior hockey programs.
Michael Holland arrives at IUP as a forward after transferring from SUNY Brockport (NCAA Division III). A native of Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Holland brings a high-energy, competitive style to the Crimson Hawks’ lineup. Prior to his collegiate career, he played junior hockey in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL), where he continued to refine his offensive skills and two-way game. Holland’s combination of speed, work ethic, and experience at the Division III level is expected to add immediate value to IUP’s forward group.
Joining Holland is goaltender Braxton Singleton, who transfers in from New England College (NCAA Division III). Singleton hails from Edmonton, Alberta, a city well known for producing high-level hockey talent. Before his time at NEC, Singleton competed in the United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL), where he gained valuable experience facing top junior competition. His size, composure, and technical foundation in net provide IUP with added stability and depth in goal.
Both Holland and Singleton bring proven junior and collegiate experience, and their additions strengthen the Crimson Hawks as the program continues to build toward sustained success. IUP Hockey looks forward to welcoming both players to the roster and seeing the impact they will make on and off the ice this season.
