The IUP hockey team is proud to announce a special event: the Cure Mito Game! This thrilling face-off will feature our very own IUP team going up against the CHMA rival Kent State.
But this game isn’t just about the excitement on the ice—it’s about coming together for a cause that’s close to our hearts. We’re rallying for a young fighter named Xander, who’s battling Leigh Syndrome, a rare and challenging mitochondrial disease. Though Leigh Syndrome may be tough, it hasn’t dimmed Xander’s incredible spirit, and we’re here to keep that flame of hope burning bright.
Here’s what’s happening:
- Bake Sale: Treat yourself to some homemade goodies—all for a good cause!
- Basket Raffle: Try your luck and win some amazing prizes.
- Special Game Jersey Raffle: Win a game worn jersey and wear your support with pride.
- Bid on your favorite jersey here
- Mini Hockey Shoot Out: Test your skills and have some fun.
- IUP Women’s Soccer Team Demo: Watch our talented women’s soccer team in action.
Every ticket bought, every raffle entered, and every cookie crunched helps us get closer to a cure. We’re donating all proceeds to the Cure Mito Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting those affected by mitochondrial diseases.
Let’s Rally for Xander and the Cure Mito Foundation!
We need your cheers, your support, and your presence. So come out, enjoy a night of community spirit and hockey action, and help us make a difference in Xander’s life and the lives of those fighting Leigh Syndrome.
Tickets are available now. Get yours today and be part of something bigger than the game!
